FAQ
In order to provide you with a clearer picture of the services and programs offered at the Excel Center, we have provided detailed answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
How soon can I get an appointment?
Immediately. Call the Excel Center Arlington to schedule a confidential assessment Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or call the Access Department at Millwood Hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What happens in an assessment?
An assessment is a private meeting with a qualified mental health professional. Questions are asked to guide the discussion about the problems at hand. Assessments usually take about 45 minutes to an hour. Recommendations will be made to address the identified problems, and options for treatment will be provided.
How does a patient pay for care at Excel Center?
We accept most insurance, personal and business checks, all major credit cards, and can also make individual "private pay" arrangements.
What if I don’t have insurance?
We make every effort to provide services to anyone who presents a need, even if the financial resources are limited. Excel Center staff will help you determine the most cost-effective resources for care.
How will I know if I or a loved one has a “real” problem?
Although there are specific signs and symptoms to identify mental health and chemical dependency problems, each situation is different. We suggest you speak with a professional to discuss your concerns. Remember to take all suicidal comments or actions seriously. If you are concerned about the possibility of suicide, take steps to come to Excel Center or Millwood Hospital immediately, or go to the nearest emergency room.
In the event of any medical emergency, call 911 or go directly to a hospital emergency room.
